The Grand Amazonian Circuit: Reserved Zone & Blanquillo Macaw Sanctuary
This comprehensive 8-Day / 7-Night expedition brings together the two most celebrated wildlife spectacles in the southern Peruvian Amazon: the virgin wilderness of the Manu Reserved Zone (Cocha Salvador, Giant River Otters, and Jaguars) and the legendary Blanquillo Clay Lick, where hundreds of Red-and-green Macaws, Scarlet Macaws, and Amazons gather daily to ingest mineral-rich clay.
Exclusive Highlights of the 8-Day Circuit:
- Comfortable Floating Camouflaged Hide: Sit just 40 meters from the Blanquillo clay lick for breathtaking, unhurried wildlife photography.
- Cocha Salvador & Giant Otters: Explore Manu's premier oxbow lake on silent catamarans.
- Camungo 45-Meter Canopy Tower: Stand above the crowns of thousand-year-old Kapok trees overlooking Cocha Camungo.
- Tapir Clay Lick Observation Platform: Spend an evening over an inland mineral salt lick where lowland tapirs feed under moonlight.
- Dual River Exploration: Cruise both the tranquil blackwater tributaries of the Manu River and the majestic Madre de Dios.
